When Tara, a professional organizer and mom of three, came to me, her Pinterest account was brand new.
She wanted to grow her blog, establish herself as a thought leader, and drive affiliate revenue, but she had no time to master Pinterest strategies while juggling her business and three kids.
I built her Pinterest presence from the ground up.
Within nine months, her outbound clicks grew from 11 to 2,726 per month, her blog became a consistent traffic source, and she had a system that worked in the background.
Then she paused services.
But Pinterest kept working, circulating her content, driving traffic, and bringing people to her blog without her having to touch it.
That’s when she came back.
And the growth picked up right where we left off.
Now she’s averaging 12,000+ outbound clicks per month and relies entirely on Pinterest for evergreen traffic, with zero time spent on social media.
Here’s the full story.

When Your Pinterest Strategy Works So Well, You Come Back for More
I’ve established that Tara’s Pinterest account was brand new when we originally started working together.
Of course, she’d tried to pin a few times, but she didn’t know what she was doing, so there wasn’t any strategy.
She was sitting on an asset: her blog was filled with potential.
She was my client for 9 months, and we achieved substantial growth, with her getting around 2700 sessions per month.
She was reaching her ideal audience, and it was driving leads and revenue.
The evergreen marketing system I set up and ran for her was working.
Then she paused services.
Tara was so used to creating content for socials that she decided to fully focus on it again.
I’ve seen this so many times – Pinterest isn’t a dopamine-hit platform. It works quietly. It’s in the background, and you lead with your thought leadership and expertise instead of showing up on socials.
For someone used to a social strategy, Tara felt more comfortable with what she knew.
But here’s what happened: Pinterest kept working.
Even without active management, her content kept circulating, driving traffic and bringing people to her blog.
After a few months, she came back.
She’d heard me talk about the power of Pinterest, but now she was experiencing how an evergreen strategy continued to work even though she wasn’t “doing anything”.
Seven months back into Pinterest management, she’s averaging 12,000+ outbound clicks per month, 500K+ impressions, and 50K+ engagements.
Her blog is a hub for affiliate income and thought leadership, and she invests zero time in social media.
Since Tara’s account was brand new, I started from the foundation and built strategically.
Here’s what I did:
The most important thing to lay out right away is your keyword and board strategy. I found keywords I knew would bring in targeted traffic looking for what her content solved and answered. I created keyword and interest banks to refer back to (no need to research all the time!). Plus, I found Pinterest trends that aligned with her content to accelerate account growth.
This is the part many people skip. I optimized Tara’s profile with an account description that reflects her expertise, created boards with keyword-rich descriptions targeting her ideal audience, and designed brand-aligned pin templates to build recognition.
Visually appealing pins are important – that goes without saying. But I also made sure the text overlays on the pins addressed multiple search angles and included qualifiers that let Pinterest users know the content was for them. I pinned her blog posts featuring affiliate offers and expert content while sprinkling in pins that linked to her other offers and services.
Consistent pinning is an overlooked piece of the strategy. The idea isn’t to dump a bunch of pins and hope for the best. I created a pinning schedule averaging at least five fresh pins daily. Pinterest growth takes time, so consistency was key.
I monitored performance metrics monthly to identify top-performing content and adjusted the strategy to focus on high-converting blog posts and affiliate-related content. As the account grew, I pinned top-performing content more frequently.
When Tara paused services, Pinterest didn’t stop working.
Her content continued circulating. Pins kept showing up in search results. People kept finding her blog posts. Traffic kept flowing, without her lifting a finger.
This is the power of evergreen marketing. Unlike social media, Pinterest content has a long shelf life. Pins continue to work for months (and even years) after you publish them.
Tara saw this firsthand, and it’s exactly why she came back.
Month 1: 1,058 outbound clicks | 74,893 impressions
Month 2: 2323 outbound clicks | 150,187 impressions
Month 3: 5,725 outbound clicks | 279,257 impressions
Month 4: 8,657 outbound clicks | 332,312 impressions
Month 5: 10,499 outbound clicks | 574,041 impressions
Month 6: 11,705 outbound clicks | 487,912 impressions
Month 7: 12,934 outbound clicks | 566,985 impressions
Current monthly averages:
→ 12,000+ outbound clicks
→ 500K+ impressions
→ 50K+ engagements
→ 3,000+ saves
The account continues to grow steadily, bringing consistent traffic to her blog and establishing her as a go-to in professional organizing.
Tara’s Pinterest growth translated into real, tangible business results:
Evergreen Traffic:
Pinterest kept working even when she paused, showing how sustainable the strategy is. Now she has a marketing system that works whether she’s with clients, with her kids, or completely offline.
Social Media Freedom:
She invests zero time in social platforms. No Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.
Just evergreen Pinterest traffic that keeps circulating her content.
Authority & Revenue:
Her blog has become a hub for affiliate income and thought leadership, positioning her as a go-to professional organizer without the constant demands of social content creation.
Confidence:
She knows her marketing works in the background, so she can focus on what matters most: her organizing business and her three kids.
Kind words
From the client
"I started a blog to expand my reach as a professional organizer, but my initial Pinterest attempts yielded minimal clicks. Juggling my business and three kids left me with no time or interest in mastering Pinterest strategies. I sought Elaine's expertise in designing engaging pins, targeting relevant keywords, and analyzing monthly performance. Outsourcing Pinterest management was a clear choice for focusing on my core business activities. I'm delighted to witness my Pinterest statistics soar from 23 saves to approximately 600 per month, and outbound clicks surge from single digits to over 2,000 in just eight months. If you want to focus on what brings you joy and delegate tasks that drive traffic, entrusting Elaine with your Pinterest management will do just that."
