I often see business owners forget or keep Pinterest on the back burner because they're either overwhelmed or don't truly understand how powerful it is at growing your business.

📌1- We all know the need to diversify your marketing is becoming more important. Diversifying your marketing doesn't just mean using another social media platform. It means diversifying the styles of marketing you're doing. (And, please make sure you own one of them, okay?)

📌2 - I know burnout is a trendy term that gets thrown around but have you felt like you can't keep up with content creation? Do you feel like it never ends? That's why it's smart to invest in a platform with a longer shelf life.

📌3 - If you're only worried about growing your social media accounts and not your email list or community then I have to say you're doing it wrong. You don't own social media but you do own your list and you guessed it - Pinterest is AMAZING at helping you grow your email list (and more).

📌4 - If you're a business owner why wouldn't you want to get TARGETED traffic to your offers? People literally looking for what you have to offer. That's what Pinterest users are doing...let's get you in front of them, okay?

I always love to peel the onion back on "problems" and, well, what you're actually dealing with is not understanding HOW to use Pinterest to market your business.

I get it, it’s EASY to fall into the trap of simply repurposing your content, throwing it on Pinterest, and crossing your fingers that it'll work.

✅ Track your data aka what are your analytics telling you about what's working for your business on Pinterest? Do more of what is working!

We recently onboarded a new client who has a very established business and when I took a peek to see what they'd been up to on Pinterest before we took over I saw they were busy doing things that work on Instagram.

I'm not gonna lie - I see it ALL the time.

And, while I'm happy they hired us, Pinterest is not Instagram.

Pinterest users are not there to see what your business or you are up to - they're on the platform to figure out how to enrich their lives.

They're planning important events and moments, figuring out how to solve a problem, and finding ideas and inspiration THEY can do in THEIR lives.

I had to say it because if you're over on Pinterest right now repurposing your Insta content as is, I'm betting you're falling flat and you don't understand WHY.

(Well, if you're reading this you know why now 🤣)

Instagram = people want to see behind the scenes, relationship building, you promoting your business.

Pinterest = hooking people in because you help them accomplish something, don't care who you are right now, looking for all the inspiration.

Not gonna lie there are SO many benefits to using

🔥I know Pinterest is one of the BEST marketing tools online today. 🔥

BUT - that's just what it is - a tool to get in front of your ideal clients and customers.

If you're just getting started or you're not getting the results you hoped for, I can almost guarantee your strategy is lacking in one of these 3 areas

If you don't have these 3 components nailed down, you'll fall flat with your efforts on Pinterest. One literally can't do well without the other.

Awesome Content - Pinterest traffic is COLD. They're in discovery mode so you need to make sure your content helps move them in the direction you want them to take.

Target Keywords - Keywords make the platform go round. Take the time to do your keyword research and then target those search terms with your content. That's how you build the traffic! (This is the biggest place I see business owners drop the ball. I get it keyword research isn't sexy BUT it is so, so needed).

Strong Pin Design - Pinterest is a visual platform so your imagery needs to be on point. Make sure to target your keywords ON your pin and in your pin titles and descriptions.
