A Pinterest Marketing Case Study: Bites by Bianca’s Journey of Growth on Pinterest
I’m so excited to share the details of the Pinterest marketing success story with you!
Bianca is a talented food creator with gorgeous dessert recipes, but despite her amazing content, Bianca struggled to get traction on Pinterest.
She worked with other Pinterest strategists but was unable to implement a strategy that effectively helped meet her goals.
When Bianca reached out to me, it was her last attempt to grow on Pinterest.
Her account is the true definition of a Pinterest marketing success story.
In just four months, her outbound clicks jumped 141.5%, saves climbed 84.6%, impressions soared 63.7%, and her blog became an actual traffic engine.
Now I’m sharing the details of how I turned her Pinterest account into a sustainable, evergreen source of traffic and revenue.
The Challenges: Why Growth Wasn’t Happening on Pinterest
Before working together, Bianca struggled with:
→ Inconsistent Pinterest traffic – pins were getting impressions, but outbound clicks were lacking.
→ No keyword strategy – Bianca’s content wasn’t optimized for Pinterest search, so it wasn’t reaching the right audience.
→ Lack of fresh pinning system – They were repinning old content but not creating fresh, optimized pins consistently.
→ Missed monetization opportunities – there was nothing in place to leverage the traffic being sent from Pinterest to turn it into affiliate sales, sponsored content opportunities, and blog revenue.
Bianca needed a Pinterest strategy that would not only work smarter but also drive evergreen traffic and real revenue.

The Pinterest Strategy: The Steps to Growth on Pinterest
I developed a custom Pinterest growth strategy tailored to Bianca’s niche, audience, and content strengths.
Here’s what I focused on:
📌 Pinterest SEO: Finding the Right Keywords
The first step in any Pinterest marketing strategy is to spend time finding high-traffic keywords that align with the content.
The goal is to ensure the content answers the search intent.
From there, a Pinterest board strategy is created, followed by targeting keywords in the pin title and description.
I also shifted from generic recipe titles to SEO-friendly, search-intent-driven pin titles and text overlays. This helped increase outbound clicks.
📌 Pin Design Optimization: Making Their Content Click-Worthy
Created eye-catching, vertical pins that stood out in Pinterest feeds – a very important part of the strategy, but what a lot of people miss is the keyword targeting within the text overlay.
Pinterest scans there, too!
I experimented with different text overlays to find what drove traffic.
I’ve also A/B split-tested different pin styles, focusing on standard and video pins to maximize engagement.
So far, standard static pins have performed best for this client.
📌 Building a Sustainable Pinning System
The next piece of the Pinterest strategy was developing a consistent pinning schedule to keep Bianca’s content fresh and visible.
This can be done in numerous ways, but the most efficient use of time is to create multiple pin variations for each recipe to increase exposure without creating additional content.
Once a sustainable pinning workflow is in place, tracking results with Pinterest analytics helps identify which content is performing well and which aspects of the strategy can be refined over time.
📌 Monetization: Turning Pinterest Traffic into Revenue
There are three main ways Bianca generates revenue from her food blog: affiliate offers and products, blog posts with ads, and sponsored content.
Bianca also has her email growth strategy in place and has placed opt-ins throughout her blog to encourage signups from the Pinterest traffic.

Conclusion: The Secret Ingredient to Long-Term Pinterest Success
Bianca went from having no clear plan for Pinterest to having a strategic, sustainable marketing system that drives consistent growth, traffic, and revenue.
No more relying on social media for visibility.
No more hoping a pin “takes off.”
Instead, she has a repeatable strategy and system that consistently delivers results.
Key Takeaways:
→ Pinterest isn’t just for inspiration—it’s a powerful search engine.
→ Keyword strategy + fresh, high-quality pins = traffic & engagement that lasts.
